This is a home designed around an extensive and highly detailed Program. The clients are both psychologists, and wanted to move their practice- a clinic for children with learning disabilities, to a space below their home.

 

The Clinic consists of a multipurpose hall with a seating capacity of 50 people, and 3 classrooms and 3 cabins. It takes up the first two levels of the building. The home starts at Level 3 and is designed for a family of four + three fully grown Irish Setters, with frequent visitors.  The clients wanted a house with an open plan- a concept they were comfortable with from previous experience of living in New Zealand. They are a family of readers and also wanted lots of nooks and corners in the house.
